DECAAR Green Algea Peel

 The DÉCAAR Algae Peel is a unique skin resurfacing treatment that works from the inside out. Formulated with a powerful blend of natural algae, herbs, and Perfluorodecalin, it stimulates the skin’s natural renewal process—accelerating cell turnover from the usual 4–8 weeks to just 72 hours. Algae peels can also minimise pore size, induce skin tightening and stimulate collagen production which promotes rejuvenation and renews tired looking skin. Algae peels can be used on many different body parts, including the face, neck, décolletage, arms, hands, legs, abdomen and back.

The micro-fibres of the peeling powder penetrate the skin causing an increased blood flow and production of new cells. Because these cells are in the keratin layer the DECAAR Algae peeling can also be applied to sensitive or rosacea skin. Because of the increase of keratin cells redness in the skin reduces. Because the Langerhans cells are stimulated and the bacteria over growth is killed acne, eczema and rosacea can be treated in most cases reduced. The peel system is safe during pregnancy ( after the first trimester).

Perfluorodecalin is the active ingredient found in DECAAR’s oxygen system. It is a fluorocarbon derivative of decalin, which is used to deliver oxygen to the skin cells. Perfluorodecalin allows the skin to self-regulate and results in a healthy, radiant & hydrated complexion that locks in more moisture for a rejuvenated glow. Can all skin types be treated?

We use the Fitzpatrick Scale to classify an individual’s skin type before recommending any skin-specific cosmetic procedure. This is very important because different skin types have different vulnerabilities to procedures and therefore may carry more risk for procedure- related problems and after-effects. These can include lightening or darkening of the skin in the procedure area, blotchiness, skin discolouration, burns, or even scarring. When it comes to issues like post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH), individuals with lighter skin types (I-III) are at less risk while those with darker skin types (IV-VI) are at greater risk. For this reason, procedures such as certain laser treatments are not recommended for clients with darker skin. The Algae peel is not a light-based procedure, nor does it involve harsh chemicals or techniques that can instigate significant inflammation of the skin. Furthermore, it does not significantly damage the epidermis. For these reasons, the Algae peel is both safe and effective for every skin type. Burns, scarring, and pigmentation issues are not typical when the procedure is performed correctly.

The Algae Peel is gentle with very little disruption to daily life. Most clients experience only mild, short-term effects:

  • Light shedding of dead skin over the following days

Temporary Pigmentation Changes
Age spots or pigmentation may appear slightly more pronounced at first as the pigmented cells rise to the surface before naturally sloughing away.
