Contraindications for semi-permanent make-up tattooing

If you have any of the following conditions, we are unfortunately unable to offer you permanent cosmetic makeup treatments.  If you have a health condition not listed below that you think may affect your ability to undergo a permanent makeup procedure, please let us know prior to booking a treatment.

  • Pregnant/ breastfeeding
  • Use of Accutane ( medication for Acne) – must discontinue for a year before getting any semi-permanent treatment
  • Epilipsy
  • Glaucoma
  • Sunburn on the treated area
  • Hemophilia – bleeding disorder
  • Trichotillomania – compulsive pulling of body hair
  • Keloid scarring history
  • Peacemaker or Defibrillator, heart conditions
  • Uncontrolled Diabetes
  • Uncontrolled high-blood pressure
  • Received Botox or fillers – recently under 2 weeks
  • Inflamed or infected skin disorders
  • Positive patch test
  • Cold Sore – you can have the treatment ( LIPS ONLY) however you would need to be on the prescribed anti-viral medicine to prevent 
  • Chemotherapy or Radition treatment – you can have the treatment if you bring doctor’s approval and you have been off any of these treatments 6 months
  • Facial surgery – with doctor’s approval, you should wait 6 months post-surgery
  • Under 21 years old
  • Allergies – allergy to numbing agents such Lidoqaine
  • HIV
  • Taking blood-thinning medication
  • Lupus or any autoimmune disorders
  • Platalet disorders
  • Scar tissue
