About Lip Blush Tattoo
Lip Blush Tattoo is a game-changing technique that combines the precision of permanent makeup with the artistry of lip color. Using the latest techniques we can enhance your lips’ natural shape, symmetry, and color, creating a customized pout that perfectly complements your unique features. The lip blushing procedure helps cut down makeup time and gives evenly pigmented lips with luxurious color. The cosmetic tattooing industry is going towards more natural and realistic outcomes. If you are looking for a way to avoid reapplying your favourite lip product you should consider lip blush.
It is a very popular treatment because it gives you a no-makeup look. It looks like your normal lip color but better. With lip blush, you can have the best version of your lips with gentle soft lip contour without harsh lip lines. This technique helps to enhance what you already have and provides a natural outcome. As we age we tend to lose pigment in our lips, so lip tattoos give a healthy, girly, young, and plumped look.

Important!
Please bring your favorite lipstick with you so I can color-match it!

Color correction
Aka. lip neutralization, this is a wonderful technique for any pigmented areas on the lips to be covered. Lip neutralization is a specialized treatment for those with cool, or dark-toned, lips. It is a procedure often performed on clients with darker skin tones or those whose lips have darkened over time due to weather conditions, hyperpigmentation, or underlying medical issues. This procedure involves tattooing neutralizing ink pigments into the lip area to balance darker tones and enhance the natural lip color, shape, and symmetry. The treatment creates a subtle, rather than saturated, effect to ensure natural-looking results. Whilst injectables (lip fillers) are great for adding permanent volume to the lip area, lip neutralization is perfect for adding definition and fullness.

Aftercare of Lip Blush Tatoo
Ensuring optimal results from your lip blush tattoo requires diligent aftercare.
Here are essential steps to follow during the healing process:
Don’t wear any lipstick, or lipgloss for 2 weeks. Please don’t use any other lip products or healing balms other than the provided after-care balm.
Your technician will likely apply a moisturizing balm after the procedure. Keep your lips hydrated by applying this balm every 2-4 hours for the first few days. This balm is either plain Vaseline or an ointment containing A&D vitamin so please say if you have any allergies to these.
Adhere closely to the detailed aftercare instructions provided by your technician for optimal results.
You can wash your teeth but don’t put too much strength whilst brushing.
Avoid activities that may cause excessive sweating or irritation to your lips, such as heavy exercise ( cardio), saunas, steam room or swimming, during the initial healing period. No SPA activities allowed.
If recommended by your technician, attend touch-up appointments to maintain the appearance of your lip blush tattoo.
Refrain from touching or picking at your lips to prevent infection, scarring, or uneven healing.
Refrain from smoking, excessive alcohol consumption, and other habits that can damage your lips and affect the tattoo’s longevity.
Use gentle, fragrance-free skincare products on your lips and avoid harsh exfoliants or chemical peels.
Shield your lips from sun exposure to prevent premature fading of the pigment. Use SPF lip balm daily and limit direct sun exposure. You can wear hats to prevent direct sun.
Spicy, citrus and minty foods should be avoided for 3 days, these can feel stingy and unpleasant. Also, try to use straw when drinking. Don’t bite into an apple, eat things that are easy to put into your mouth.
Keep an eye out for signs of infection such as excessive redness, swelling, or discharge, and contact your technician or healthcare provider if any arise.
By following these aftercare guidelines, you can ensure long-lasting, natural-looking results from your lip blush tattoo.
Stages of the lip blush healing process day by day:
Day 1 – Lip Swelling, Sensitivity, and Color Enhancement
The initial discomfort following the lip blush procedure sets in once the anesthetic wears off. This stage is characterized by swelling, sensitivity, and heightened color intensity.
Sensitivity of the Lips
Several hours after the procedure, your lips may feel tender, tight, and painful as the effects of the anesthetic wear off. It’s advisable to refrain from using over-the-counter painkillers and instead consult your artist regarding pain management options if the discomfort becomes too severe.
Swelling of the Lips
Swelling typically begins a few minutes into the procedure as a natural response to the tiny incisions made by the electric device. Initially, you may not notice the swelling, but as the numbing effect subsides, your lips may feel heavy and swollen. Additionally, some fluid discharge from the lips is normal for a few hours post-procedure. Remain calm and follow your artist’s instructions for blotting the fluid.
Enhanced Lip Color
On the first day, you may notice a significant intensification of your lip color, which can be either appealing or excessive depending on your preference. If you find the bold color overwhelming, rest assured that it will gradually fade to the desired shade over the next few days.
Day 2 – Reduced Swelling, Increased Sensitivity, and Dryness
Usually, by the second day, the swelling of the lips diminishes, returning them to their normal size. If swelling persists significantly, consult your artist to rule out any allergic reactions. As swelling decreases, you may experience heightened sensitivity, to a mild sunburn. Furthermore, your lips may feel dry, tight, and begin to form scabs. Apply the prescribed after-care balm to alleviate discomfort. Avoid wetting your lips or activities that stretch them, such as laughing.
Days 3 and 4 – Intense Lip Peeling and Dryness
Days 3 and 4 mark the most challenging phase of the lip blush healing journey. During this time, lip dryness reaches its peak, and scabs begin to peel, typically starting from the center and spreading outwards towards the edges of the lips. The shedding skin is part of the natural regeneration process, often accompanied by an itching sensation. It’s crucial to resist the urge to pick at the peeling skin, as doing so can compromise the pigmentation.
Days 5-10 – Mild Peeling and Color Fading
During this period, minor peeling is common as the lip blush pigment settles beneath the skin. You may notice some color fading, which is a normal part of the healing process. Don’t be alarmed if the color seems to disappear temporarily. The remaining scabs will continue to peel off gradually, allowing your lips to regain their natural softness.
