
Pre-Procedure Guidelines
To ensure the best results and safety for your treatment, please follow these pre-procedure guidelines. Proper preparation and timing of other procedures, product usage, and specific preparations are crucial. Adhering to these steps will help achieve optimal outcomes and a smoother experience.
Detailed Guidelines:
- Due to potential swelling/redness in sensitive areas, we recommend refraining from social activities for 2 days after the procedure
- The treatment will only go ahead if the patch test is negative
- Feel free to wear your usual make-up on the day of your appointment
- Remove fake lashes if having an eyeliner procedure
- All fillers/botox should be done 2 weeks before your appointment
- Any facial waxing, or facial treatments such as skin peels, should be done 2 weeks before your appointment
- Stop using Retinol skin care products 4 weeks before your appointment
- Eyelash/brow tinting, brow lamination, and lash lifting should be done 2 weeks before your appointment
- Stop using eyelash/eyebrow growing serums 4 weeks prior to your appointment
- Don’t drink coke, or caffeine on the day of the procedure
- Sleep well and drink plenty of water before the procedure
- Please reschedule if feeling unwell, sick, stressed or you are in a hurry
- We aim to create a relaxed and not rushed atmosphere, please don’t bring bad vibes
- Avoid taking Aspirin/Ibuprofen/Coumadin or anti-inflammatory medication 24 hrs before
- Avoid drinking alcohol 24 hrs before the procedure
- Avoid taking any supplements that may thin your blood (fish oil)
- Don’t arrive with sunburn
- Scrub and moisturize your lips before receiving lip blush tattooing, and remove any dead skin from your lips
- Remove your contact lenses if receiving an eyeliner procedure
- Chemotherapy; 6 months after your last session, need of doctor’s letter.
- Don’t fake tan 2 weeks before any procedures
- Wait 2 weeks after coming back from a sunny holiday
- Avoid using sunbeds 2 weeks before your appointment
- Lips Only: If you have a history of cold sores (herpes simplex) we advise you to contact your doctor to obtain the proper prescription medication to prevent such outbreaks. Alternatively, obtain treatment such as Zovirax from your local pharmacy, use this one week prior to your lips blush tattooing appointment, and continue for another week to help to minimize potential discomfort.
- If you are having IPL/laser hair removal around your mouth, please schedule this 2 weeks prior to your lips blush tattooing appointment
